Aloe Vera is a natural, gentle and resourceful alternative for a variety of beauty cures. According to the International Journal of Research and Medical Sciences, Aloe Vera is packed with more than 150 active nutrients. In other words, Aloe Vera is an amazing base for beauty products.

Aloe vera is a powerful moisturizer, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, fortifying the protective skin barrier. It has been used for centuries in various cultural practices for the treatment of skin wounds and beauty purposes. The legend says that Cleopatra, known for her beauty, applied aloe Vera on a daily basis.

Below are some of my favorite homemade cosmetic recipes using Aloe Vera. Do not hesitate to share with me your feedbacks!

Preliminary Step: How to Prepare Aloe Vera Gel at Home?

Several brands come up with packaged aloe vera gel for beauty uses. However most of them are not considered as 100% pure due to the presence of preservatives and/or other components. The best way to get pure and fresh aloe vera gel is to prepare it at home. You can find fresh leaf of aloe vera plant in bio shops. If you go for homemade Aloe1. Cut the leaf carefully, and scoop the transparent gel-like substance out. Make sure to peel it correctly and remove the yellow resin. Indeed, the resin contains latex, which can be slightly irritating to skin.
